Viewers Anime Pick

Postby RAWowner333 » Sat Sep 10, 2011 11:07 pm

Here is the OFFICIAL thread for people to list the animes they want to watch at Otaku Anime. And it is the ONLY place where you can suggest anime. If it's not on this list, then it will be ignored!

Only rule: NO HENTAI! i'm really sorry, but we can't show it. There can be nudity, just nothing sexual!

LIST AWAY!

the only list I have is a list of live-action candidates for when Gekiranger is finished:
I also have Chojin Sentai Jetman, but that would probably be too much of a hassle to set up, since the OP and ED are in separate files

for a while I was thinking we could use a screening to show the first episode of each series and have the viewers vote on which series to show next, and Jon seemed on to the idea

Is Puni Puni Poemy acceptable? It gets pretty sexy, but there's no actual f***ing. Plus, I have the DVD.

actually there is at least once, but it's obscured by a tree and just background crazyness put in for the Rule of Funny. it's not even as bad as the tent scene in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and that would be acceptable.

LOL! you're in luck! We're scheduling to screen Puni Pun Poemy! we were gonna show it last night, but with all the new technical layout and the 1 hour delay, we had to cut it. so NEXT TIME!

Before we go to Super Sentai again, I've been hounding Jon to show Ultraman Nexus for months now. We also need to show C BEFORE it goes to DVD (technically, it's already licensed, but so was Gurren Lagann). And when Azumanga is out, we need to replace it with Nichijou, Azumanga's crazy nephew
I'll be back later; I have quite a list.

Also, I'm working on a solo riff of the Darkstalkers OVA. The entire two and a half hour show. Not holding out much hope for showing the whole thing, but it's be nice to show at least one episode of it. Anyone in?

Wow, how long has it been since we used this forum?
Anyway, I'd first like to recommend Mirai Nikki or Future Diary for all you survival horror fans. Second, and I know this will be shot down quickly, but I'm finding myself quite enchanted by Kill Me Baby!, which is of the same vein as Azumanga, only more goofy and brutal. Weird combination. And don't forget, we need to set aside some time for Red Line, which is a movie and thus will require some more time, or maybe a special night. Also, if anyone is up for a good laugh, I have a copy of Garzey's Wing, but if we show that, we need to show it in English since the fun of that is the worst dubbing of all time.

I recently got my DVDs of Ghost Hound, and already told Jon a little about it. it's based on an original concept of Shirow Masamune, the same creator of Ghost in the Shell

lol. If we show that back to back with Mirai Nikki, it's going to be a very dark night.

Just started a new anime: Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, or The Daily Lives of High School Boys, or NichiBros, or The Most Yaoi Thing I've Ever Seen Without It Actually Being A Yaoi. I think I've said everything I need to say about it, but to elaborate, it's about an all boys high school where three friends with way too much free time on their hands getting into very gay situations and somehow make this work. It's actually kind of brilliant.

I've been watching Another, which would be great for a Halloween screening. one gruesome death in episode 8 was censored, but you sort of see some detail just seconds later. it's worth pointing out that other gruesome deaths were less censored, if at all

Now we have to show Mirai Nikki at Otaku. I just saw the ending, and it is both the most uplifting and depressing thing I've ever seen.

We've got two fresh off the line animes to look at: Sword Art Online which is kind of a new .Hack universe only much more straight forward, and something called Binbougami ga! which looks like a good spoof anime. We're starting to run out of shows, so maybe we should start a new intro night pretty soon.

I was talking to Jon about this, but if we do this suggestion box, it might be worth it to make it look like the Medaka Box, which is also an anime we should show at Otaku.

btw Chris, you could have told us that you were waiting for the regular school year to start. All this time I though you were being an asshole.
