Tonight was our Christmas Fighting Game Tournament and pizza party! This year we played Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom. We also had DDR set up on one of the smaller screens in the back. And an Atari 2600 that got almost no love, alas.
Tonight we had another Anime Bazaar! Sell your anime stuff, find presents for your friends, et cetera. Instead of intermission we just played music, so people had a chance to sell and/or shop without missing anything.
Also tonight: sign up to participate in next screening's Fighting Game Tournament
Tonight was a holiday Anime Bazaar~
Our "Here's What You Missed At Youmacon" special! Sans long lines and con plague. Featuring lots of abridged series and... AMV Hell 5. Bet you didn't see that one coming.
Tonight is the Halloween Cosplay Contest! Come dressed as your favorite anime character. Cash prizes for the best costume. Click the link for rules and details.

Saturday 10/2/2010 — RenFest trip!
8/19/2010 — Otaku Movie Night Out: RiffTrax Live vs. Reefer Madness
Reefer Madness was a 1930s cautionary tale about the dangers of marijuana that was hijacked by another director and turned into a sensationalist film. Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett (of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fame) riffed it live, broadcast to theaters around the US. Including the AMC 20. It was pretty darn hilarious.
8/13/2010 — Otaku Movie Night Out: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
We went to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World! It was epically epic of epically uh... yeah, that. It was a lot of fun.
Due to a Jazz Festival, the date of our first July screening was moved back a week.
7/10/2010 — Otaku field trip
Our first-ever OtakuAnime field trip (not counting movie outings) was to Dave and Buster's in Utica. Lots of fun, if a bit pricey. You can find pictures of the event on our Facebook, starting about there.
There's an Anime Bazaar today also! Perhaps it will become a May tradition.
